Karin Beaumont
Oceanides

Oceanides jewellery was born from Karin’s fascination with microscopic shapes and forms from the sea. Magnified 10,000 times or more, and with a hint of artistic license, these designs are hand-crafted into wearable treasures that embody stories from the ocean.

Karin Beaumont is a marine biologist, an Antarctic voyage leader, tour guide, and metalsmith passionate about making objects that are meaningful as well as beautiful.

FIND Contemporary Jewellery Collective acknowledges our gallery within the Salamanca Arts Centre stands on the country of the palawa people. We recognise that first nations people across Australia never ceded sovereignty, and we deeply respect their connections to land, sea and community.

We acknowledge the palawa people as the traditional owners and ongoing custodians of lutruwita (Tasmania). We respect and admire their continuing culture, strength, and history of creating and making on this land for tens of thousands of years.
