Antique Glass & Button Pearls

Finding historic glass is like finding precious treasure to me! I have collected it my whole life. I especially love the colours and when I found this glass it was a dream come true. If I find worn sea glass I love to keep it as is but I’m also finding thick shards from historic discarded rubbish which are often sharp and not as displayable so I’ve sacrificed some pieces to cut into cabochons like precious gemstones for my exhibition pieces to represent that my found treasures are as precious to me as precious jewels! This is something I’ve wanted to play with for a very long time. You will see more of this in my future work. I’m in love with this deep sea colour paired with blister pearls.
