Squid Earrings

Antique glass, moonstone, recycled sterling silver, sterling silver box chain.
         
The glass was from a broken very old bottle which I cut and polished. I love picking up chunky old glass. Maybe a hundred years old, someone’s trash has become my precious treasure. The unknown history is something my mind gets lost in, they’re like jewels to me! The ocean and its sea creatures are fascinating to me, especially cephalopods. I’m also inspired by antique jewellery with tassels so I created the earrings to look long and elegant but on closer inspection they’re squid!
