Cocco Pendant - Karin Beaumont

$145.00Price

Sterling Silver + Stainless Steel Cable

Inspired by a microscopic plankton called a ‘Coccolithophorid’. The shells of this creature created the sedimentary layers that formed the ‘White Cliffs of Dover’. Like many marine plankton, their existence is threatened by climate change due to excess carbon dioxide acidifying our oceans.

This is a choker-style necklace but can be made to order for individual neck-size (please specify).

FIND Contemporary Jewellery Collective acknowledges our gallery within the Salamanca Arts Centre stands on the country of the palawa people. We recognise that first nations people across Australia never ceded sovereignty, and we deeply respect their connections to land, sea and community.

We acknowledge the palawa people as the traditional owners and ongoing custodians of lutruwita (Tasmania). We respect and admire their continuing culture, strength, and history of creating and making on this land for tens of thousands of years.
